What People's Say About Place

Manoa Marketplace is Charming and away from crowds and so the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf up there is small but has some nice outdoor seating. You don't feel like you're being surrounded by tons of people. I find the coffee that they make to be excellent, far superior to anything Starbucks can do. Besides there's a Safeway right next door so it's terrific you can do your grocery shopping and have a coffee or have a coffee BEFORE your grocery shopping. However when the students are at UH be aware that there may be a lot more crowding at the coffee shop than otherwise.

In my opinion this is the most equipped coffee shop around. Wonderful service, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The espresso never tastes bitter because the baristas really know what they are doing here. The lobby is neat and clean not cluttered and messy. And they serve you coffee in a mug so you can relax unwind and stay a while. The WiFi is fast and very accessible. They have a big selection of pastrys and bagels and scones. If I get the chance I am always sure to make this coffee shop a part of my morning

First of all, great coffee. There are so many flavors and menu items to choose from! I have a severe nut allergy and the barista on duty to great care of me by cleaning all the equipment and washing her hands before making my drink. Great place! Arrive early/get dropped off. Parking is a little on the wild side.

This place has turned around. Customer service seems like it’s where it should be. They should link the rewards program to your credit card for convenience. No major complaints except the smell of the place is dingy. Could use a deep clean as well as the bathroom.

If you ask for glass coffee mug, they have ONE! Liked the bacon Swiss croissant, and small Americano. Satisfactory for the small size lunch I was looking for while repairing Htelom phone lines on Manoa rain.

I find that this location is phenomenal. I love that all of the baristas are so friendly and kind and that they are rarely understaffed making the experience quick and easy. The coffee is delightful and flavourful and there are many options to choose from. I would 10/10 recommend this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location.

Jeron made me the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve been drinking coffee almost daily for over 20 years and have been to Europe. I ordered a pour over iced coffee with an extra shot (instead of an Americano when they are out of brewed hot or iced coffee). I finally got the opportunity to thank her in person today! It was perfectly nutty, not too strong, not watery or Starbucks burned/bitter. Thank you, Jeron!! Also, bring a book or two to drop off at their free book exchange.

The new French employee there was excellent, he made my custom drink perfect and had wonderful service! However, it seems he had to work all alone despite there being another woman there with him- he was taking the orders at the register and running to make the food/drinks, and he was doing his best to keep up but it was non stop, and the other employee was mulling around not helping him or customers with anything and was mostly in the back hiding out of sight. The employee who served me was wonderful but it seems like this location is a toxic workplace if the new person is expected to run the whole store alone with no help.
